Published in 2011, the Greater Manchester Climate Change Strategy describes the strategic agenda for climate change adaptation and mitigation action in Greater Manchester to 2020. In particular, the report identifies 4 Objectives (carbon reduction, transition to a low carbon economy, adaptation and carbon culture) and 5 Themes under which action needs to be progressed: Buildings, Transport, Energy, Green Infrastructure and Sustainable Consumption & Production. It also sets the GM target for greenhouse gas reduction at 48% by 2020 (from 1990 levels).
